This is the chaotic moment women rolled around on the floor while fighting in front of shocked police officers in Michigan.

The brutal incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 15, near Commerce Avenue and Oakes Street in Grand Rapids.

Police Chief Eric Winstrom said that officers were already monitoring the area due to a large crowd from a sold-out gig at a nearby music venue, with an estimated 400 people walking around the street.

Authorities reported that a massive fistfight broke out around 2:25 a.m.

Winstrom revealed that officers were forced to deploy pepper spray and pepper balls to break up the unruly crowd.

Body cam footage shows an officer shouting 'You're about to get sprayed!' before releasing pepper spray at the mob, causing them to scatter.

Some disruptive partygoers refused to leave and taunted the officers instead.

After five minutes of warnings, the officers fired pepper balls—harmless rounds that kick up irritating dust—to clear the remaining individuals.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Winstrom said that he believed the officers had shown 'great restraint' in a violent situation that could have escalated further.

Around 20 officers were deployed to the scene.
