Storyline: Medical workers at a hospital in the central Gaza Strip have been doing their best to save the lives of UN workers who had been injured in the latest round of Israeli attack on Wednesday. One United Nations Office for Project Services staff member was killed and five others seriously injured after two UN guesthouses in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, were hit in the strikes, the UN and Gaza-based health authorities confirmed Wednesday morning. According to media reports, the Israeli military has denied attacking the compound. The attacked UN staff were received by Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, according to Gaza health authorities. The hospital director told China Media Group (CMG) reporters that they are doing their best to provide medical services and connect with better medical resources for the injured amidst harsh environment. He also condemned the brutality of the Israeli army, saying it continues to target innocent civilians and staff of international organizations. Israel has resumed its assault on Gaza since early Tuesday, killing more than 400 people and shattering a fragile ceasefire that took effect on Jan 19. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned all attacks on UN personnel and called for a full investigation, his spokesman said on Wednesday. We are doing our best to provide medical services to the injured, and the current treatment work is progressing smoothly.
