British tourist chased out of pool by dozens of wild monkeys
CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE
This is the hilarious moment a troop of wild monkeys chased a terrified British tourist out of a swimming pool in Thailand.
Kane Smith was relaxing in the water outside the hotel in Krabi province when the primates emerged from nearby woodland.
Several began drinking the pool water before dozens more appeared - including one visibly older and larger beast.
Terrified Kane pleaded with the monkeys not to come closer but they surrounded him and violently chased him from the pool, leaving him 'fearing for his life'.
The video, posted on Kane's TikTok account @Kane_smith98 begins when the young holidaymaker records himself before catching a glimpse of a monkey.
Turning the camera, Kane proceeds to show a stump-tailed macaque climbing over sun loungers as it makes its way to the pool.
'Go away', he shouts. 'F*** off.'
But as the monkey walks closer to the pool, Kane can be heard saying: 'Oh my f****ing God. Why is it doing that? My God...oh my f****ing God.
'No, go away', Kane shouts, as the monkey climbs onto the side of the pool.
Suddenly, another monkey appears in the distance, and heads in the direction of the swimming pool.
'Oh my God there's more', Kane exclaims as he notices the second ape. 'Oh s***'.
As more monkeys emerge by the pool, Kane's fear intensifies and his voice begins trembling.
'Oh my God there's a whole family', Kane shouts.
'I'm scared. S***, s***'.
Two monkeys begin walking towards Kane.
'Don't you dare come near me...oh f***', he shouts.
'Oh s***, that looks scary', Kane says as he spots an ever bigger ape.
Petrified Kane begins backing out of the pool, taking care not to frighten the monkeys. But two begin chasing him.
He then turns on his heels and runs through the resort grounds to escape an attack.
Speaking after, Kane said the situation was 'honestly the scariest moment of my life'.
He added: 'I apologise for all the swearing...I kind of thought my life was about to end...Started off with one monkey and then a full gang suddenly appeared.'
Thailand has a large population of wild monkeys across the country. Officials have been unable to control their population despite multiple sterilisation programs.
