Three passengers were injured when a cargo train collided with a car at a level crossing in India.

The incident occurred near the Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Plant in Rajasthan on Friday evening, March 21.

CCTV footage shows the Bolero car of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) manoeuvring onto an unmanned railway crossing when it was struck by an approaching coal-laden goods train. The vehicle was then dragged for several metres before the video ended.

No boom barriers were present to alert motorists of the oncoming coach.

A security personnel member quickly exited the SUV upon seeing the train while three others remained trapped inside. Authorities reported that the train's driver applied the brakes, preventing further damage.

Although no injuries were reported, the vehicle was severely damaged. The officers were on a routine patrol when the accident occurred.
