US, Los Angeles: Oxnard Search For Alleged Missing Kayaker
Los Angeles, United States - March 23, 2025 03/23/2025 09:49 pm (GMT-0700) OXNARD, Calif. – Shortly before 10 p.m., authorities commenced a search for a potential missing ocean kayaker following the discovery of an unattended kayak in proximity to a Channel Islands breakwater. Initial reports suggested that the kayak contained fresh fish and fishing equipment, which heightened concerns. Ventura County Fire, Oxnard City Fire, and the Coast Guard responded to the incident. It has since been reported that the U.S. Coast Guard has assumed control of the search operation. Presently, there is no official confirmation regarding the kayaker’s whereabouts or whether a missing persons report has been filed.
