Tourists toppled into rapids on a hilarious white water rafting course.

Footage shows the group of adventure seekers huddled in a rubber boat while strong waves battered them along a river in Misamis Oriental, the Philippines.

The guests held their paddles but could not use them to control the tiny vessel.

They laughed each time the tides splashed onto them helplessly, with some of them being sent into the fast-flowing stretch of water on February 13.

Participant Philine Fajardo said: 'They offer two types of classes. There is the beginner course which is a three-hour journey navigating through 14 types of rapids.

'There is also an advanced course for those seeking more thrill. The journey lasts four hours navigating through 24 types of rapids.'

White water rafting is a popular adventure sport in the Philippines, attracting both local and international thrill-seekers. The country's rivers, with varying degrees of rapids, provide excellent rafting experiences for beginners and experts alike.
