On 21st March in Yantai, Shandong, a farmer, Mr. Bao, was busy laying plastic mulch in his greenhouse while planting sweet potatoes and tomatoes. He noticed that his energetic dog, Diudiu, loved running around the fields. This sparked an idea—why not let Diudiu help with the task?

Mr. Bao attached the plastic mulch to Diudiu’s collar and guided the dog through the field. To his surprise, Diudiu quickly adapted to the new job and performed exceptionally well. As it happily ran across the field, the mulch was neatly laid down, making what would have been a labour-intensive task much easier and more efficient.

Mr. Bao explained that Diudiu is a lively and intelligent dog that enjoys playing in the fields. Given its endless energy, he decided to involve it in farm work—and the results were better than expected.
