The day of March 24 reminds us that TB is a dangerous disease, but it can be completely eliminated by taking a vigilance and taking the right steps on time.Dr. Sandeep Bataish, District TB officer of the Health Department of Kaithal district and Chief Lab Technology Gobind at Government Hospital told the media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to reduce TB patients in the entire country this year.  He said that the Health Department has taken big steps to provide all types of good health facilities to TB patients.  He said that modern machines have been installed for testing TB patients and all health related tests and medicines of TB patients can provide a good diet to eat them as well as provide good food to them, so they are given one thousand rupees per month from the health department.  He said that the government has also called upon the people to take a pledge to help TB patients and become friends.  He said that PM Modi has targeted to end tuberculosis in India by the year 2025 and by the end of this year, a target of 44 has been targeted at the number one lakh.  He said that there were 18 centers in Kaithal district for the first TB check, which is being increased to 20 and the first five units were working, it has been increased to 7.  He said that 32914 tests were conducted in Kaithal district last year, out of which about 1250 cases were found to be positive, this time this test will be increased to 40 thousand.  He said that efforts are being made by the Health Department to provide maximum health services to the people, under which the van of the health department goes to the Slum area of the health department for free.
