A Dutch tourist sparked alarm when he went on a naked rampage through a hotel in Thailand.

Ronald Hillmar de Boer, 51, sprinted through the corridors in the nude as staff tried to make him check out of the hotel in the coastal province of Krabi on March 24.

Terrified employees tried to pacify him but he refused to listen as he reportedly ran riot with his genitals exposed.

Police arrived after receiving a report at 3:30 pm. Upon spotting the uniformed officers, the Dutchman fled to his room on the second floor.

Staff unlocked the door, and the officers found Ronald lying in bed still unclothed. They later managed to convince him to put on a pair of shorts.

However, he once again flew into a frenzy when rescue workers tried to escort him to Krabi Hospital.

Footage shows authorities strapping Ronald onto a yellow rescue board after he was reported to have resisted the police. Onlookers watched as the tourist was hauled into an ambulance.

A hotel worker said: 'This man stayed in this hotel and was scheduled to check out today.

‘We called him when he failed to check out, and that's when he became rowdy and ran around naked inside the hotel before falling down the stairs.

‘We are not sure whether he was hallucinating from consuming drugs or alcohol. We had to call the police and rescue team to take him away for treatment.'

Police said they Ronald was taken to the station and checked over by doctors before being released.
