Sinkhole opens in road and drags motorcycle rider to his death in South Korea
This is the shocking moment a massive sinkhole opened up in a road and dragged a motorcycle rider to his death.
Dashcam footage shows the road caving in at a traffic junction in the capital Seoul, South Korea, just before 6:30pm on March 25.
A motorcyclist was seen plunging into the cavernous pit while a van narrowly escaped as it bounced over the site.
South Korean authorities said the motorcycle rider was found dead the next day, around 164ft from where he had fallen into the 60ft sinkhole. His motorcycle and phone were also collected.
The cause of the sinkhole was under investigation.
Local officials said Seoul has seen 223 sinkholes in the past 10 years.
