Occurred on March 10, 2025 / Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA

Info from Licensor: "On the evening of March 10th 2025, at approximately 2039 hours, a doubles tanker truck fully loaded with gasoline rolled over in front of my truck while I was sleeping in the back. This happened across from the Flying J at the Conoco gas station. Exit 113 on I15. When I awoke to what sounded like a train crashing, I saw the tanker rolled on its side and was spilling fuel. I immediately jumped out of my truck to check on the driver while calling 911. Upon further inspection of the truck I noticed the locking jaws to the 5th wheel were open and the surface appeared to be undamaged . The back of the truck was heavily damaged which led me to the conclusion that the trailer was 'high hooked' on the 5th wheel and never secured to the truck. Essentially the tank was just resting on the truck until the turn was made and it slid forward hitting the truck then rolling onto its side. I provided the video to deputies on scene and provided a statement. Several hours later, the spill was cleaned, the tanker off loaded to another vehicle, and the trailer towed away. Everyone involved was very fortunate that the tanker did not ignite. I was personally very fortunate the tanker did not slide off sooner and hit the side of the truck where my head was resting while I slept."
