Lightning strikes Lake Catalina during storm in Florida
This is the dramatic moment lightning strikes Lake Catalina during a storm in Florida.
Footage captured by Ali Jorge shows the bright flash of electrical discharge hitting the water surface in Hialeah on March 25.
Ali said: 'The calm before the storm.'
On Tuesday afternoon and evening, scattered rainfall and thunderstorms temporarily ended a weeks-long drought in parts of South Florida.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for Miami, Hialeah, and Miami Beach, warning of a potential hail risk until 2:45 pm.
Some storms were forecast to be strong or severe, but conditions were expected to dry out by Wednesday.
