A wild eagle visited a luxury hotel and took a dip in its swimming pool in front of astonished guests.

Footage shows the white-bellied sea eagle playing in the water while it enjoyed the view at The Puncak in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

The bird soaked its wings and floated to the middle of the pool before taking off again.

The bird of prey soared over the hilltop hotel, leaving visitor Jean Paul Volckaert mesmerised as he watched from a distance on March 24.

Jean Paul said: 'It was a stunning moment to capture the eagle dipping into the infinity pool at The Puncak.'

The white-bellied sea eagle is a large bird of prey found in coastal regions and inland waterways across South and Southeast Asia, Australia, and the surrounding islands.

It is easily recognisable by its white head, neck, and belly, contrasted with dark gray wings and back.
