Shoppers fled as a magnitude 7.7 earthquake rattled a mall in Thailand.

Video shows terrified mallgoers escaping the building in Nakhon Pathom province some 56 kilometres (35 miles) west of the capital city Bangkok, at around 2:20 pm today.

The US Geological Survey said the powerful tremor struck at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres (six miles), and was centred in neighbouring Myanmar, around 50 kilometres (30 miles) east of Monywa City.
