A pig-shaped foam cloud maker, originally built for a family pig roast in 2018, has resurfaced on TikTok, going viral with over 5 million views.

Created by user 'shnolk,' the contraption combines a helium tank and a soap solution to produce floating foam pigs. A wooden die shapes the bubbly creations, which are then gently released with a metal spatula, allowing them to drift into the sky.

This was a pig-shaped foam cloud maker art project that I built for a pig roast with my family back in 2018. It uses a helium tank and a bubbler in a tray of soap solution to make positively-buoyant foam bubbles that are then extruded into the shape of a pig through a wooden die. Using a metal spatula, the foam can be released from the die and due to the buoyancy from the helium, it floats away into the sky while retaining its pig shape.
