Los Angeles, United States - March 28, 2025 03/28/2025 12:14 am (GMT-0700) PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department were dispatched Friday morning to a report of a cliff rescue at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive and Paseo Del Mar. Upon arrival, firefighters found a male victim who had fallen an unknown distance down a cliff. Crews quickly initiated a hoist operation, lowering firefighters to reach the individual. Due to the nature of the injuries, which included head trauma, the firefighters requested assistance from Copter 14 to hoist and transport the patient. Crews safely brought the patient back to land before transferring him into the helicopter. Copter 14 then airlifted the man to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment. The circumstances surrounding how the man fell from the cliff remain unclear, and no further information was available at the scene.
