A storm blew over a beach wedding marquee in front of shocked guests in Bali.

Footage shows the freak winds devastating the venue, causing a wooden canopy to collapse before the party could start in Indonesia.

Workers fled as the structure gave way, with decorations and furniture scattered by powerful gusts.

Some of the organisers rushed to rebuild but eventually decided with the couple to hold the event indoors on March 22.

One of the guests, Sulistyono, said: 'The wedding party was supposed to be overlooking the sea, but the wind was too strong that day. It was dangerous.'

Bali's rainy season runs from November to March, with the heaviest rainfall usually happening in December, January, and February.

During this time, tropical downpours are frequent, but they are usually short-lived, allowing for breaks of sunshine in between.
