My partner and I had just flown from Denpasar to Sydney via an overnight Qantas flight, and we had to transfer to the Qantas Domestic Terminal which they provide for free at Sydney airport via a bus which crosses the airport in the live taxiway area. I started filming since it was early morning which meant a lot of wide body planes coming and going internationally, and my partner and I love aviation. We drove within an arms reach of a Qantas A380 right under the wing which is what prompted me to start filming, and then I hear my partner call out to me from the other side of the bus pointing at the Garuda A330 coming in to land out to our left. The timing couldn’t have been better, as we flew almost underneath it and got the perfect view of it landing. It was fitting since we’d also just landed from Indonesia on an A330. We were stoked to see that so closely. We then went and sat in the Qantas Club for 3 hours while we waited for our flight home to the Sunshine Coast, with the perfect corner window view to watch the rest of the mornings departures and arrivals.
