Air rage erupts over reclining seat on flight from Australia to Bali
An air rage fight erupted over a reclining seat on a flight from Australia to Bali.
Dramatic footage shows a heated exchange between two passengers on the Jetstar plane as an irate traveller in the front row clashed with another passenger.
The confrontation escalated when the man in the front row, visibly agitated, could be heard yelling: 'Do you think this is enough? Do you think one of us is going to f****** die?'
Then, the furious man, dressed in a black cap, leapt out of his seat, lunging over the front row and attempting to physically confront the passenger seated in the aisle.
He reportedly accused the holidaymaker wearing a cap of being drunk, which further enraged him on the Airbus A320 single aisle aircraft.
Nearby passengers quickly intervened, with one woman shouting: 'Hey, that's enough.'
A fellow traveller, seemingly a companion of the angry passenger, stepped in to restrain him, urging him to sit down before the situation could escalate further.
Five members of the cabin crew defused the situation and calmed both hotheaded fliers down on Saturday, March 29.
A Jetstar Airways spokesman said: 'Our operations teams are currently investigating this incident. We have a zero tolerance policy for disruptive and abusive behaviour on our flights.
'Our crew members are trained to de-escalate incidents involving unruly passengers and we thank them for how they managed this situation.'
Jetstar Airways is a budget airline based in Australia and a subsidiary of Qantas. It operates flights to various destinations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Pacific.
