Local rushes over to crashed car only to find a DOG behind the wheel
On March 31, an amusing yet bizarre traffic incident occurred in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, when a dog took control of a car, causing it to crash into a guardrail multiple times.
Surveillance footage showed a vehicle slowly moving along the right side of the road. However, surprisingly, there was no human driver in the driver’s seat—only a dog.
Fortunately, the car was moving at a low speed, and there were few pedestrians on the road. The vehicle eventually came to a stop after being blocked by the guardrail. Nearby shop owners, thinking the driver had suffered a medical emergency, rushed to check on the situation. But when they opened the car door, the unexpected culprit—a dog—immediately bolted and ran away.
No one was injured in the accident, but both the car and the guardrail sustained damage.
The car owner later arrived at the scene and explained that he had briefly left the vehicle with the dog inside. In his hurry, he had forgotten to turn off the engine, which led to the dog accidentally engaging the controls and setting the car in motion.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
