This is the amusing moment a robot strutted down a runway at a fashion show in China.

The G1 robot, created by Unitree and dressed in a stylish violet flowy top, made its debut at the Xintiandi show venue during Shanghai Fashion Week on March 26.

Footage shows the robot, accompanied by a robot dog, gracefully moving across the stage toward the spotlight.

Moments later, a model in a vibrant dark blue slit dress confidently approached and placed a necklace on the robot.

The show's creative director, Xu Shangxi, was inspired by Unitree's viral Chinese New Year performance, where the G1 wowed audiences with traditional dance moves.

He said: 'I wanted to explore the connection between nature, humanity, and technology. This isn't just a show, it's a statement for the future.'

The Unitree G1 is a highly advanced humanoid robot, built by Unitree Robotics, exhibiting impressive agility and precision. Powered by AI-driven, full-body motion control, it performs dynamic movements like dancing, spinning handkerchiefs, and executing complex routines with human-like finesse.

This event is one of many that shows China's technological progress, featuring the growing integration of robots into both fashion and practical applications.

On March 4, Yushu Wang Xingxing, Founder and CEO of Unitree, sparred with the humanoid robot to demonstrate its combat skills in Zhejiang.

Human and animal-like robots are being developed in several countries, with China and the United States leading the 'tech arms race.'

Earlier this month, a military-style robot dog was even spotted protecting President-Elect Donald Trump in Florida.

Meanwhile, eccentric billionaire Elon Musk, who played a key role in Trump's recent U.S. election victory, recently unveiled Optimus, describing it as a multi-functional assistant capable of handling household chores, playing with children, and performing repetitive tasks.
