Every year, veterans from across the country take part in the solemn tribute, lighting torches and singing the national anthem at midnight in memory of the 649 Argentine soldiers who lost their lives. During the commemoration historical weapons, clothing, letters, and personal belongings from the war were displayed. Veterans wore their uniforms and showcase their medals, while family members received rosaries inscribed with the names of fallen soldiers for prayers. Floral offerings were placed at various monuments in the town square, marking a deeply emotional remembrance for those who served.
