The bodies of those killed and the wounded from the attack were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah city, where Palestinians mourned the deep sorrow of losing their loved ones. On Sunday, the first day of Eid, 64 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the territory. Israel resumed intense bombing of Gaza on March 18, ending a nearly two-month ceasefire in the territory, where it has killed more than 50,000 people since Oct. 7, 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
