Water splashed out of a prawn pond during an earthquake in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the water violently swaying and spilling gallons of the blue liquid out of the pool in Ratchada, Bangkok, on March 28.

The white monoblocks placed next to the edge of the pond can be seen toppling over as they are knocked by the water, flooding the area.

No injuries or major damage to property were reported as a result of the tremor.

The United States Geological Survey reported that a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck northwest of Sagaing, Myanmar, at 1:20 p.m., with the impact being felt in Thailand.

A 6.4-magnitude aftershock followed in the same area at 1:32 p.m.

Thai residents ran from their homes when they felt the tremors shortly after 1:20 pm local time. More than 2,000 people in the country have been killed and some 4,000 injured, with rescue efforts ongoing.

The quake destroyed buildings, bridges, and dams, leaving many areas in ruins. Communication remains difficult as mobile networks are down, and access to electricity and the internet is limited.
