This is the shocking moment a noodle stall burst into flames after a gas cylinder exploded in Bangkok.

Vendors and diners frantically scrambled away from the roadside when the gas canister of the wonton noodle shop suddenly caught fire in Nuan Chan, Bueng Kum, on March 17.

CCTV footage shows two food shops set up along the side of the road.

A seller can be seen cooking a dish while a customer waits for their food, seated behind the kiosk.

Moments later, the gas cylinder from an unattended booth ignited, causing nearby men to flee, while others hurriedly moved their vehicles away, fearing an explosion.

The brave shop owner attempted to extinguish the fire with a bucket of water but failed, forcing him to retreat.

He later returned and tried to smother the flames using a vinyl sign, but the fire remained uncontrollable. This led him to make a risky decision—to turn off the gas supply with his bare hands, finally putting out the fire.

The owner reportedly contacted a gas company to replace the hose and cylinder.

He speculated that the canister was old, had been exposed to extreme heat, and posed a risk of reignition.

No injuries were reported, and both restaurants resumed operations after the incident.
