Escalator 'swallows' elderly person's leg in China's Guangdong
Shocking footage, from China, of a 66-year-old man's leg getting stuck in the escalator.
The video, captured in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on Tuesday, shows firefighters rescuing an elder, whose leg is stuck into the collapsed footboard on an escalator.
According to local reports, after the old man's leg was stuck into the collapsed footboard, the escalator still moved for more than two metres until the automatic protection switch stopped it.
Firefighters rescued him in 40 minutes, but his leg was broken.
