A cool life-hack video has emerged of a man using candles and tissues to start his barbecue.

The footage, shot last month in Montreal, Canada, shows YouTuber Vivafrei breaking up candles and wrapping them with tissues to make a fire-starter.

He then lights the tissues on fire which makes the wax melt and creates a "sort of fireball that will burn hot and long enough to ignite the charcoal".

Not sure if this is a problem facing most people, but it has happened to me more than once, hence how I discovered the hack. If you do not have firestarter to get the barbecue going, simply wrap candles in Kleenex, paper towel, or napkin, light the napkin on fire, it will melt the candle wax into the napkin, causing a sort of fireball that will burn hot and long enough to ignite the charcoal.
