A triumphant boxer carried cash worth 5,000 dollars home in his suitcase following a knockout win.

Muay Thai star Rodtang Jitmuangnon, 27, whose nickname is 'The Iron Man', claimed the impressive payout before collecting it from his local bank branch in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 2.

Bank tellers counted each stack of cash to ensure they had the right amount. Footage shows the clerks placing the chunky wads of money, each marked with a label, in a trolley which the athlete took home to his family.

Rodtang said he would treat his pregnant wife, Aida, to one million baht for winning a bet that she would have a baby boy.

He said: 'The money is all to make a better life for my family. We'll use it for our future together.'

Rodtang had prevailed over Japanese fighter Takeru Segawa, whom he knocked out in the first round at the ONE 172 event held in Saitama, Japan, on March 23.

He earned 15 million Baht (around 440k USD) from the fight, and an additional 1.7 million Baht (around 50k USD) for the knockout victory.

The boxer had said the win shocked even himself.

He said at the event: 'As I answered in some of the press conferences before, I wanted to take the first two rounds to box it up with Takeru, to see who's gonna be the one left standing. But it's incredible. I didn't even realize that my hands had that much power to knock him out. Even I'm surprised.'

Rodtang Jitmuangnon is a famous Muay Thai fighter and former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion. He is known for his aggressive fighting style and is one of the highest-paid Muay Thai fighters in the world.
