Christopher, United States - April 03, 2025 Body-worn camera video from the Christopher Police Department captures a dramatic house explosion that trapped a firefighter in a collapse while battling a blaze. Firefighters were called to a house fire on South Snider Street on April 3. The footage shows flames bursting from a second-story window, followed by an explosion that caused the front porch roof to collapse onto a firefighter. In the video, officers and bystanders first scatter from the blast, then rush back to free the firefighter from the debris. The Christopher Fire Department reported the firefighter sustained minor injuries. “We are thankful for our fireman and first responders, and we thank God everyone is home and recovering,” said Christopher Police Chief Travis Allen in a statement.
