Palestinians protest in Ramallah against ongoing Israeli onslaught and genocide in Gaza (2)
RAMALLAH, PALESTINE - APRIL 5, 2025: Palestinians in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah took to streets on Saturday, April 5, to protest Israel’s ongoing genocide and military offensive in the Gaza Strip. Waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans condemning Israel, demonstrators voiced outrage over the continued Israeli attacks, which have resulted in widespread destruction and significant civilian casualties in Gaza. Among those participating in the protest were Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative (PNI), and Sabri Saidam, Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Fatah movement, both of whom expressed solidarity with the victims of the ongoing violence. Israel resumed its attacks in Gaza on March 18, shattering a two-month truce. More than 50,600 Palestinians have been killed in the enclave in Israel's military onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. Tensions also have been running high across the occupied West Bank, where more than 944 Palestinians were killed, around 7,000 injured, and approximately 15,800 arrested, according to official Palestinian figures. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
