Russian bomb disposal troops destroyed unexploded WWII ammunition.

Specialists from the Don Rescue Center of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations discovered a German SD-70 high-explosive fragmentation bomb during a field inspection.

The team unearthed the explosive along with an artillery shell, a mortar mine, and two artillery fuses in Volgograd, Russia.

Footage shows the pyrotechnics team destroying all the discovered ammunition at a designated range.

A loud explosion was heard from afar, with soil and debris flying in the air upon the blast.

The operation followed strict safety protocols to ensure no risk to the area.

In January, 176 unexploded World War II bombs were discovered beneath Scotts Play Park in Wooler, Northumberland, England, during renovations.

World War II, from 1939 to 1945, ended with Germany's surrender in May and Japan's capitulation in September.
