Los Angeles, United States - April 06, 2025 04/06/2025 03:16 pm (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A minivan struck a crowd of people under unknown circumstances Sunday afternoon at the intersection of East 12th Street and Mapke Avenue near Santee Alley. At least nine patients were identified, all reported to be in fair condition and transported to local hospitals via ambulance. The ages and genders of the victims varied, with at least three minors included among the patients. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, nine individuals were assessed for injuries at the scene. Two adult females, both 23 years old, were released against medical advice. Four other adults, aged 54, 65, 30, and 23, were transported in fair condition, along with three minors aged 8, 11, and 17. No fatalities or critical patients were reported at the time of transport. Fire companies remained on site to manage the minivan, which was immobilized under a collapsed patio. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation. Santee Alley is an area known for its vibrant market, featuring a variety of shops and food vendors.
