This is the amusing moment a policeman turned into a pest controller as he removed three squirrels from a home.

A resident called for help to request assistance in removing tree dwellers from her home in White Settlement, Texas, on April 1, around 10:30 pm.

Footage shows Corporal Will Poarch locating the first rodent under a blanket in the apartment's hallway and using a laundry basket to trap it. Poarch then released the animal near a tree.

Officer Haley Buck discovered the remaining creatures behind a toilet and asked Poarch to capture them.

Before tossing a towel over the animals, Poarch said: 'What's up, fellas? We're friends. Come here.'

The remaining pair of critters were released as well.

Police Chief Christopher Cook said: 'You never know what call you may end up responding to. However, we are thankful that we could assist in restoring peace to this woman's apartment.'

Cook spoke to the tenant, who said she was grateful for the officers' assistance.

Squirrels are small rodents known for their agility and bushy tails. They typically live in trees but may enter apartments seeking shelter, warmth, or food, especially during colder months.
