This is the heartwarming moment a wolverine has fun rolling around in bed at a wildlife park in Washington.

Playful animal Rainier was spotted enjoying his new hobby, wriggling around in fresh wood wool at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville on April 5.

The park staff said: 'This natural, shredded material doesn't just smell great to a curious nose; it's perfect for enrichment, encouraging all kinds of playful behaviours that keep Rainier's wild instincts sharp.'

Wolverines are listed as vulnerable or threatened in many regions due to habitat fragmentation, climate change, and human activities. Sanctuaries provide a safe environment for them to live and breed without these threats.
