Los Angeles, United States - April 06, 2025 04/06/2025 03:01 am (GMT-0700) WALNUT PARK, Calif. – Fire broke out at a commercial structure on Pacific Avenue near Florence Avenue, prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from a one-story row of businesses. Initially, crews engaged in an offensive attack, but a portion of the roof collapsed while firefighters were on the roof. This prompted a shift to a defensive strategy. Firefighters utilized ladder pipes and deck guns to flood the structure with water to control the blaze. It appears that three of the four businesses were damaged in the fire. Reports of people living in one of the buildings had not yet been confirmed. Crews remained on the scene battling the fire, and no injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
