Recently in Beijing, a group of elderly men were seen playing frisbee across the more than 30-meter-wide Yongding River diversion canal. Not only could they throw the frisbee with precision across the river, but they also caught the returning throws effortlessly, displaying impressive skill and coordination. Their performance drew a crowd of onlookers who clapped and cheered in admiration.

Mr. Zhao Hong, 65, said that most of the group members are around 70 years old, and he is actually the "newest" member, having only played frisbee for two years. The others have been playing for four. They began attempting cross-river throws last autumn and gradually mastered the technique.

Throwing a frisbee across a river requires more accuracy and strength than on flat ground. If the frisbee falls into the water, the men use fishing rods and small hooks to retrieve it. Even if they miss, they quickly adjust and keep playing.
