US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles Powerlines Catch Fire Following Crash
Los Angeles, United States - April 07, 2025 04/07/2025 12:59 am (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A crash into a power pole in the 800 block of South Central Avenue caused powerlines to catch fire early Monday morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded to the scene. The incident, which occurred at 12:59 a.m., led to a power outage in the area. The driver involved was detained at the scene. The fire was contained, and the situation was under control as crews worked to restore power.
