The Ohio River burst its banks, causing floods in Kentucky amid heavy rain.

Dramatic footage shows trees partially submerged, their reflections mirrored in the muddy water on April 7.

The National Weather Service (NWS) had previously issued flood warnings for the Ohio River, with updated flood inundation maps released on Sunday, stressing the continued risk across the region.

The river reportedly reached 60.59ft (18m) on Monday, the highest level in 28 years.
