US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Investigation Underway After Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle
Bakersfield, United States - April 08, 2025 04/08/2025 01:52 am (GMT-0700) BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Kern County Sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded Tuesday morning to reports of a man down in the roadway at the intersection of McCord Avenue and North Chester. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim who had been struck by a vehicle and suffered moderate to major injuries. Kern County Fire Department personnel provided medical assistance before Hall Ambulance paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Witnesses at the scene reported that a white Kia sedan struck the individual and fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
