On Friday, March 28, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake with an epicenter in central Myanmar rocked Bangkok, causing significant damage and resulting in casualties.

Videos shared on social media show swimming pool water cascading from skyscrapers across the capital.

The earthquake caused the collapse of a 33-story building under construction near Chatuchak Weekend Market, killing at least 17 people.
