The damage to the facility and the deepening humanitarian crisis were once again captured by Anadolu Agency. The strike on the site comes as part of a humanitarian catastrophe that has intensified since Israel began restricting the entry of essential supplies such as food and water into Gaza on March 2. The closure of border crossings has worsened the food and water shortages in the area. The reporter, citing eyewitnesses, also said the Israeli army vehicles advanced east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City, under heavy fire coverage. The Israeli army has announced the expansion of its offensive in the northern part of Gaza, beginning in the Shujaiya area. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Sunday to escalate attacks on Gaza as efforts are underway to implement US President Donald Trump's plan to displace Palestinians from the enclave. More than 50,500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israel's military onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
