A cat stared at a monitor lizard through a glass door.

The two-year-old feline named Nong Chujai spotted a young wild monitor lizard outside their home in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand.

Footage shows the curious feline observing the reptile, prompting its owner, Tada Mitrevej, to immediately go outside to shoo it away.

He chased the lizard, but it was too quick to escape.

Tada said: 'This isn't the first time our cat encountered the monitor lizard. It used to run and observe it around the house, but we chased it away ourselves every time.
