Los Angeles, United States - April 08, 2025 04/08/2025 11:38 pm (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Just before midnight, the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a body in the lanes on the Pico off-ramp to the northbound 110 Freeway. First responders arrived to find an adult male unresponsive in the lanes of the off-ramp. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. No vehicle was located nearby, but the male bore injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, prompting the CHP to investigate the incident as a possible hit-and-run. CHP officers worked to piece together the circumstances of the collision. Caltrans shut down the Pico off-ramp and the transition road from the I-10 to the I-110 for approximately three hours while officers investigated the scene. Los Angeles County Medical Examiner personnel were on the scene, and the case has been assigned a coroner case reference number 2025-06100.
