THANK YOU to whoever called 911 about this car that was swerving, clipping curbs and almost hitting other vehicles on Wednesday afternoon. A Wheat Ridge police officer found a woman passed out behind the wheel along the 3800 block of Depew St. just after 2:00 p.m.
Based on her behavior, our officer had reasonable suspicion she was under the influence of alcohol and placed her under arrest for DUI. The suspected later completed a breath test that indicated her breath alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
