Members of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) joined the weekly demonstration, led by retirees, to voice strong criticism of the government’s austerity measures. Since early 2024, they have been calling for a minimum pension of 1,200,000 pesos (approx. USD 1,200), free access to essential medications, full medical care, and the reinstatement of the pension moratorium. The protest came just one day ahead of the CGT’s third nationwide general strike against President Javier Milei’s administration.
