MEDICAL STAFF CARRYING BODY/ PLACING BODY INTO BODY BAGGAZA CITY, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAR. 27, 2025: At least 10 more Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday amid a deadly onslaught on the enclave, medics said. Israeli warplanes struck a home in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood, north of Gaza City, leaving seven people dead, a medical source said. One Palestinian was also killed in another airstrike targeting a home near Al-Quds University in Gaza City, he added. Israeli fighter jets also shelled a tent sheltering displaced people, killing one person and injuring several others in al-Mawasi in the southern city of Khan Younis, another medical source said. Medics said that Hamas spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the northern town of Jabalia early Thursday. Israeli army forces also shelled the eastern areas of Gaza City and Khan Younis, the Bureij and Nuseirat refugee camps in central Gaza, and Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia in the north of the enclave, witnesses said. No information was yet available about injuries. The Israeli army launched a surprise aerial campaign on the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing 830 people, injuring nearly 1,800, and shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas that took hold in January. The UN estimated that around 124,000 Palestinians have been displaced again since Israel resumed its attacks on Gaza. More than 50,100 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 113,700 injured in a brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
