VARIOUS OF EMPTIED FOOD DISTRIBUTION POTSSHUJAIYYE, GAZA, PALESTINE - APR. 10, 2025: The food crisis in the Gaza Strip has intensified as Israel keeps border gates shut to humanitarian aid since March 2 while pressing on with its attacks. In response, a charity organization handed out hot meals to Palestinians on Thursday, Apr. 10, in the Shujaiyye neighborhood of eastern Gaza to ease the growing hunger. The Israeli army has continued a deadly assault on Gaza since March 18, killing more than 1,500 victims, injuring over 3,800 others, and shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. More than 50,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
