This is the heartwarming moment kindhearted locals saved a stray dog with its head stuck in a plastic jar.

Animal rescue volunteers from Pepe Dog carefully removed the container from the distressed canine in Chaiyaphum, Thailand, on March 26.

Footage shows one of the rescuers chasing the panicked pooch across a field, accompanied by fellow volunteers and a pack of other strays.

After gently restraining the animal, the team carried it to an outdoor shelter, where they carefully cut open the plastic jar. Once freed, the relieved dog calmly trotted over to rejoin its companion.
