Earthquake search teams are racing to find more victims in a collapsed building as storms approached Bangkok.

Footage shows heavy machinery digging through the mountain of concrete and steel at the State Audit Office, on April 11.

Officials today said they have recovered four more bodies, including a Burmese man, buried under the debris.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said 27 people were killed while 67 remain missing.

The rescue teams said they were racing against time as heavy rain was predicted to fall in Bangkok on April 13, hampering the search efforts.

A 7.7 magnitude quake struck Myanmar on March 28, around 12:50 pm local time. More than 3,600 have died and over 5,000 were injured.

In neighbouring Thailand, dozens of people were killed when an office block under construction collapsed in the capital Bangkok.

Retrieval operations were ongoing in both distressed countries, with numerous nations sending assistance and emergency responders to help with the disaster.
