Kayak guide SJ Louw woke up a sleeping seal pup to remove a fishing line that was caught around the animal's neck.

He told Newsflare: "So as we finished our kayak tour on Pelican Point and we started heading back towards Walvis Bay , I spotted a sleeping pup with fishing line entangled around its neck. I decided to quickly help out the little sleeping beauty before we left. The pup was definitely not very pleased with me and the awakening and definitely put on a good struggle as well but fortunately it was rescued from further danger and I definitely got splashed by that pup the next morning. I love my job."
